Are you a frustrated forex trader?
So was I.
Especially when someone boasts on social media how much they made trading, while you didn’t.
Let me tell you a secret. “Trading always comes around full circle.”
As I look back in the earlier days of my trading, 2006, 2007, 2008. I was actually making an exorbitant amount of pips. In the magnitude of 10,000 or more.
It may sound unbelievable, but, yes, it did happen and those were good times, and I too boasted to people about it. But, just like that, things turned bad. I started losing thousands of pips the following year. And then the next, then the next.
Can you imagine continuing trading if one whole year turns out to be a loss? How about 3 years straight?
Most people would cut losses already after 6 months of trying. And that is extremely normal. Humans are designed to avoid pain. So if you gave up, take it from me, you are extremely human.
Unfortunately, if you want to survive in this market, you cannot afford to be a normal human being. 😉
Believe me, I wanted to quit too. A lot of times in fact. But, I did not.
I could say because I am tough, or something admirable like that, but the truth is far from it. The real reason?
Because I was too stubborn, and too proud to give up.
I was vain. Plain and simple.
While that is a quality far from admirable, that is actually what helped me survive this market.
To survive, you need to understand the power of ‘not giving up’.
Even though vanity got me to realize this, ‘not giving up’ is also known as ‘grit’
However you attain it, ‘grit’ is what you need If you want to survive the forex market.
While I do not recommend being vain to attain grit, I do recommend thinking instead this way– that there is something to look forward to.
What is there to look forward to?
If it helps, coming from someone who has spent more than a decade trading the forex market, I want you to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Believe me when I say that you will get back to earning what you used to earn sooner or later, and earn a lot more than ever before if I may add.
Because remember “Trading always comes around full circle”. But only if you stay long enough to go full circle.
Figure out how to achieve ‘grit’, you will survive and thrive. Go it alone, it will take you longer and harder, do it with like minded people, it will still be hard, but at least you will have company in getting there.
Monsterpips to you fellow trader!
